Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at The Kennedy Center Feb 4-9 $49
Join the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater for their 61st season and annual performance at the Kennedy Center as they once again bring multiple programs to the stage. Reaching in and captivating the spirituality in all of us, the D.C. Metro Theater Arts company will take you on a powerful emotional ride as it seeks to engage and unify people across all demographics.
Last year the company’s three programs wowed audiences with new choreographic presentations from Artistic Directors Robert Battle, Wayne McGregor, and Ronald Brown. Don’t miss out as the troop seeks to take it to the next level this year.
D.C. Chocolate Wine & Whiskey Feb 8 12:30-3:30 & 5:30-8:30 $45
Nothing says the “month of love” more than the sweetness of chocolate and the playful bite of some amazing libations. Grab your sweetheart and attend a pre-Valentine’s Day delight of the senses as you immerse yourself in all things chocolate. And that’s just the start!
Your admission includes chocolate samples, a wine glass, and unlimited sampling of high-end wines, beers, and ciders. The drinks will not be the only thing flowing as the chocolate fondue bar will satiate the sweetest of teeth.
This is a 21+ event, so get a sitter and come out to an event sure to warm you up.
Love Songs: The Beatles vol 7 Feb 8, 8 pm $25 – $75
Another opportunity for a romantic date as you attend this musical event at The Hamilton where you can eat, drink, and listen your way to love. A large cast of musicians comes together to bring you the unmistakable melodies of The Beatles with their greatest love-themed songs.
Todd Wright, Tom Lofgren, Cal Everett, The Lofgren Brothers (Tom, Mike & Mark), Chuck Sullivan & Ronnie Newmyer headline this melodic throwback to the romantic tunes of the iconic fab four.
The bar area tickets are $25, with seated tickets running $35. To treat your sweetie right, you can lock up the VIP Couple’s Package for $150, which includes; premium seating, ½ a bottle of champagne, and a memorable dessert to share.
D.C. Dive Show Feb 22 & 23 9:30am – 5pm & 10am – 3pm $15 – $25 (both days)
While diving into the Potomac in February might sound downright terrifying, the D.C. Dive Show promises no such requirement. Though the Potomac is close by, this event explores diving worldwide while keeping you warm and dry.
Did you know that the D.C. area boasts the 5th most significant percentage of certified divers in the US? That’s behind just New York, Texas, Florida, and California. That means of the 3.5 million divers in the US, 150,000 live right here. It’s no wonder the D.C. Dive Show is so popular.
Come out to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and get your fill of a sport that can take you around the world. This year’s featured speakers, Jill Heinerth and Amos Nachoum, as they share information about climate change and their experiences diving in the Arctic and Antarctic polar regions.

For a month focused on love, here’s another opportunity to grab your partner and have an amazing well-rounded date. The best thing is this event has three different sessions so it can accommodate the crowds and fit everyone’s schedule. The D.C. Cocktail Festival will not only have you sampling some unique and playful cocktails made by the city’s best mixologists but will also offer you great food and live music.
This event takes place at the National Union Building in the heart of D.C. Come ready to relax and spend some time soaking in some of the more beautiful things in life.
